The Diploma in Restaurant Management – QSR & Café is a practical, industry-focused program designed for students who want to build their careers in Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs), cafés, coffee chains and fast-casual restaurant outlets. The program includes 3 months of academic and practical training at IICCM Pune, where students will learn the complete day-to-day operational requirements of a modern QSR and café.
During the program, students will receive hands-on exposure to various QSR kitchen and café equipment, their functions and safe operating procedures. They will learn essential QSR food production, basic food preparation, standard operating procedures, portion control, food quality and workstation management. The café module covers different types of coffee, basic coffee preparation, barista equipment and the day-to-day responsibilities of a Barista and QSR Team Member.
Students will also be trained in customer service and guest satisfaction, professional communication, handling customer requirements and maintaining service standards. Hygiene and food safety form an important part of the program, covering personal hygiene, sanitation, safe food handling, cleaning procedures and maintaining hygiene standards throughout daily operations.
The program also provides practical training in opening and closing procedures, daily workstation preparation, order taking, POS handling, billing and payment procedures, kitchen and service coordination, and overall QSR operations. By the end of the 3-month academic program, students will have a clear understanding of how a QSR or café operates from opening to closing and will be prepared to perform operational roles such as QSR Team Member, Kitchen Team Member, Counter Team Member, Service Team Member and Barista.
On successful completion of 3 months of academic training at IICCM Pune followed by 3 months of internship in India, IICCM will arrange full-time employment opportunities in QSR restaurants and café chains in Dubai / the Middle East.
Students will also receive a written placement guarantee at the time of admission, clearly outlining the placement commitment. This gives students the confidence to begin their QSR & Café career with a structured pathway from training in India → internship in India → full-time employment in Dubai / Middle East.
